INSPIRATION

4-part harmony, confident choices, birdsong, the sizzle of food in my pan, vibraphones, climbing trees, abrasions from climbing trees, morning fog, Coltrane, going off-trail, a freshly-opened bag of gummi bears, turning the page, collaboration, controlling the audience’s breathing

CRAIG BRANCH

CRAIG BRANCH

BIOGRAPHY

Craig Branch (he/him) is a creative and arts administrator, originally from a tiny hamlet in southwestern Indiana. Surrounded by more fields and forests than culture, young Craig was a sponge for stories and imagination. This set him on a course to the performing arts when, at age 10, he first felt the power of the shared audience experience. Since then, Craig has simultaneously made theatre and supported others through the arts. His career began with the Educational Theatre Association—the parent organization for the International Thespian Society—where he was director of the Junior Thespian Festival and manager of programming for the International Thespian Festival and Annual Educators Conference. After that, Craig sank his roots deeper into local communities. As Education & Engagement Manager for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, he taught in classrooms by day then led post-show discussions at night. Relocating to NE Ohio, Craig supervised the curation and delivery of arts enrichment programs with Cleveland Play House. He’s inspired to insert these skills and passions into the legacy of GroundWorks.
